The Tryphonos has evolved into many versions, from a 650cc degree project a Isle of Man racer, a road bike through to the latest version using a powerful in-line four engine.

The 750 Prototype was entered in the Formula One and Senior TT races, riden by Shaun Harris.

This, the second prototype, managed to tip the scales at a mere 160kg despite being based around the heavy oil-cooled GSXR 750 M engine which in 1995 was outdated by its lighter water-cooled competitors.

The chassis consisted of a combination of machined and fabricated steel and aluminium components without the use of exotic materials such as titanium or carbon fibre. The racing prototype achieved its light weight due to its compact frame design.
